BIRMINGHAM, AL (September 8, 2024) – Turner Motorsport took home some hardware from Barber Motorsports Park with three out of four podiums, two pole awards, and two fastest laps.

No. 29 LATICRETE BMW M4 GT3 – Pro-Am

Start: P2 in Pro-Am
Finish: P3
The No. 29 LATICRETE BMW M4 GT3 was spun during the race start causing Rothberg to fall back from second to tenth in class. However, a determined Rothberg went on a charge from the rear passing a handful of cars to get back into the top five. Robby Foley took over from fourth and closed the gap and took home third.

Start: Pole, P1
Finish: P2
Foley ran away from the field immediately, building over a four-second gap back to second. Rothberg had his work cut out for him battling traffic in the Pro category while focusing on keeping the championship leader in the mirror. The rookie driver put on one of his best performances of the season to bring the Turner BMW home in second. Foley earned the Fastest Lap Award with a lap time of 1:22.314.

Race 1
Start: Pole, P1
Finish: P2
Justin Rothberg charged ahead and built over a four-second gap from second. Lap traffic slowed the Turner BMW, but Rothberg managed well, while maintaining quick lap times. The No. 27 car put pressure on in the final few minutes, and in the second to last corner of the final lap, hard contact to the left rear forced a second-place finish.

Rothberg stayed on the heels of the race leader from the drop of the green flag. Two full course cautions paused progress, and a flat right front tire halted the hungry Turner BMW from the hunt. Rothberg earned the Fastest Lap Award with a lap time of 1:23.103.
The SRO season will conclude at Indianapolis Motor Speedway from October 3-6. GT America will race in a pair of 40-minute races. GT World Challenge America will race in the Indy 8-Hour in conjunction with the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
