JUSTIN ROTHBERG WINS AT CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS

AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 28, 2025) – Turner Motorsport’s Justin Rothberg walked away with his third win of the season at Circuit of the Americas. Rothberg earned a race win and second place finish in GT America while he and Robby Foley earned a second- and fifth-place finish in GT World Challenge.

In Saturday’s GT America race, the No. 29 BMW M4 GT3 EVO from the second row and Rothberg made the difficult pass into second. He pulled away for the remainder of the 40-minute race to finish over 11 seconds ahead of third. In Sunday’s race, Rothberg started on pole and had one of his best races to date. The Turner BMW was under pressure for most of the race and was briefly passed for the lead. Rothberg was patient and hit his marks to reclaim the lead with an impressive pass and finished with just under a two second lead. Rothberg leaves COTA as the championship points leader after six rounds.

“I’m feeling really good leaving COTA,” said Rothberg. “We had great results – our worst result was P5, so no complaints. The team gave me an amazing car that was dialed in for this track. Robby helped me get up to speed quickly, and the results showed.”

In GT World Challenge race one, Rothberg started fourth in class and seventh overall. After a brief caution, the No. 29 BMW maintained position in third before pitting. Foley took over and patiently waited for his time to make the pass into second while pro car traffic and even rain drops on parts of the track. In race two, Foley started on pole and defended well while under pressure for most of the stint. An unlucky caution came out right before pitting, but Rothberg went on a tear making a number of passes to recover positions and finish in the top five and good championship points.

GT America and GT World Challenge will continue in Sebring, Florida at Sebring International Raceway May 16-18.
