MONTEREY, CALIF. (May 11, 2025) – Turner Motorsport tallied a trio of top ten finishes at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The No. 96 BMW M4 GT3 of Robby Foley and Patrick Gallagher finished the Monterey SportsCar Championship race in ninth while No. 96 of Foley and Vin Barletta and the No. 95 of Francis Selldorff and Dillon Machavern finished in seventh and ninth, respectively, in the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca 120.
In Saturday’s Michelin Pilot Challenge race, Barletta took the green flag from 17th, while Machavern started from third in the 24-car GS field. Both teams had flawless pit stops by the Turner crew to give their BMW M4 GT4 EVOs a boost in pit lane. The second half of the two-hour sprint race was plagued by cautions, but with each restart, Foley was able to gain positions to join Selldorff in the top ten.
In Sunday’s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race, Gallagher started his No. 96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO from eighth in class. The Turner BMW survived minor contact and ran as high as fourth but didn’t have the pace to catch the class leaders, ultimately finishing in ninth.
“We started eighth and finished ninth, so nothing special at Laguna,” said Foley. “We’ll collect some points. We had a good race, executed pretty well, but just didn’t have the pace again, which has been the story of the year. But we’ll keep executing until that comes to us, and we’ll be right there.”
The IMSA season continues at Mid-Ohio SportsCar Course in Lexington, Ohio, June 6-8, with a four-hour Michelin Pilot Challenge endurance race and the VP SportsCar Challenge. WeatherTech SportsCar Championship resumes at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York, June 19-22.
