WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 22, 2025) – Turner Motorsport secured a pair of eighth-place finishes at Watkins Glen International, collecting valuable championship points in both the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Michelin Pilot Challenge.
In the Six Hours of The Glen, Patrick Gallagher started 10th in class and drove his No. 96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO up to second place during a challenging stint marked by rapidly changing conditions and sudden rain. Jake Walker avoided trouble during multiple caution periods. In the final two hours, the orange-and-white Belle Haven Investments-liveried BMW suffered contact as intensity picked up, but Robby Foley recovered several positions moments before the checkered. The team now sits fifth in the GTD standings at the halfway point of the season.
“Great points day for the GTD car. We finished ahead of nearly everybody in front of us in the championship, so it feels rewarding in that way,” said team owner Will Turner. “We made the most of the situation. The race had a lot of yellows, so in some ways it was boring, but it was also action-packed because when it did go green, everybody was driving like it was the last lap. Unfortunately, we got caught up at the end, but still a top-10 finish feels okay.”
In Michelin Pilot Challenge, the No. 96 BMW M4 GT4 EVO of Gallagher and Matt Dalton climbed from 15th to eighth in the 22-car GS field. Dalton drove a clean opening stint, picking up a few positions. Gallagher and the No. 96 crew picked up two positions on pit lane and another two on track, bringing the Belle Haven Investments BMW home in the top 10. Meanwhile, the No. 95 of Francis Selldorff and Dillon Machavern settled for 13th. Machavern quickly moved up from seventh on the grid, while Selldorff stayed in the top ten while conserving fuel. However, a chaotic restart resulted in contact to his M4 GT4 EVO in the closing minutes of the two-hour race.
Next, Turner Motorsport heads north to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario July 11-13 for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Michelin Pilot Challenge and VP Racing SportsCar Challenge.
