SECOND PLACE FINISH FOR LUCA MARS AND DILLON MACHAVERN AT MID-OHIO

LEXINGTON, OHIO (June 7, 2026) – Turner Motorsport’s Luca Mars and Dillon Machavern earned a third consecutive podium finish with a second-place result in the 4 Hours of Mid-Ohio at Mid-Ohio SportsCar Course.

Machavern qualified the No. 95 BMW M4 GT4 EVO in a solid sixth position. The 2017 GS Champ gained two positions before the first of four pit stops and continued to close the gap while saving fuel. Mars took over from fourth and inherited third place while continuing the fuel-saving strategy. The Turner crew executed well in pit lane giving Mars four tires and fuel to charge into second. The 2025 GS Champ maintained strong pace to the finish while navigating lapped traffic and hot conditions, bringing his Turner BMW home in second place and preserving the championship points lead.

The No. 96 of Vin Barletta and Robby Foley started from row 14. Barletta kept his BMW M4 GT4 EVO out of trouble in the opening stint before handing it over to Foley with approximately three hours remaining. Foley worked his way through the field, gaining six positions. The 2023 GS champ held steady pace until the checkered flag and finished in 14th.

The IMSA season continues June 25-28 in Watkins Glen, New York at Watkins Glen International.

Luca Mars, Driver of the No. 95 BMW M4 GT4 EVO

“The car was super fast. I had some great battles out there today, and I’m super happy to come away with a podium. Dillon killed it all race with an incredible first two hours. The team, again, with the strategy and pit stops – everyone just shows up and they do everything perfectly, and that’s how we’re able to achieve these results, so shout out to them.”

Dillon Machavern, Driver of the No. 95 BMW M4 GT4 EVO

“We didn’t have the qualifying we were looking for, but the Turner Motorsport guys always put a great car on track. The first stints were super fun. We struggled a little bit with front traction in the heat of the day, but we made a really good adjustment, and the car was great. We were just thinking about conserving the car and maximizing points, and that’s exactly what we did. The crew did an awesome job in pit lane, and Luca had a stellar stint keeping the other BMW behind. The cards fell right for us with some of the other teams we’re competing against in the championship having issues. Overall, it was a really great day.”
