TURNER MOTORSPORT FINISHES SEVENTH IN THE SIX HOURS OF THE GLEN

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 28, 2026) – Turner Motorsport secured a strong seventh-place finish in the Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International. The pair of GS cars tallied 15th and 17th place finishes.

Patrick Gallagher started the No. 96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO from second in class after a red flag halted qualifying and starting positions were set by championship points standings. Gallagher moved into the lead in the opening lap, and along with Francis Selldorff, kept the Turner BMW out of trouble as others brought out several cautions.

Team strategist Don Salama made a perfectly timed call to bring Gallagher into pit lane just before a caution to hand the car off to Robby Foley for the final three hours. The stop positioned the BMW M Works driver in the top five with two and a half hours remaining in the six-hour endurance race.

Foley battled in the top five and led the class for 12 laps in the final hour before making a late-race pit stop for fuel. The No. 96 ultimately finished seventh in the 20-car GTD field. The team now sits in third in the championship points standings, just three points behind second place and 160 points behind the championship leader.

In Michelin Pilot Challenge, Luca Mars and Dillon Machavern were recipients of bad luck in the final minutes of the LP Building Solutions 120 at The Glen. Machavern qualified the No. 95 BMW M4 GT4 EVO in 15th but quickly charged through the field, gaining seven positions before passing the car off to Mars. Mars gained two more positions before a lightning-fast pit stop by the Turner crew put the No. 95 in contention for a podium finish. With 17 minutes remaining in the two-hour sprint race, the Turner BMW was running in third when the first and only caution of the race came out.

Unfortunately, on the restart with two laps to go, a loose section of the track curbing at the Bus Stop chicane was kicked up by the second-place car and broke the left front of the No. 95 forcing the car into pit lane to repair the tire, dropping the team to a 17th-place finish. Although the team maintains the championship points lead, the incident curbed enthusiasm by reducing the advantage from 200 points to 60.

Meanwhile, the No. 96 of Foley and Vin Barletta started from 28th in class and improved 13 positions to finish in 15th.

The IMSA season continues July 10-12 for a trip up north to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario.

Robby Foley, Driver of the No. 96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO

“P7 at the Six Hours of The Glen isn’t a super sexy result, but ultimately it was a good race. We were leading for a good portion and kind of on a different strategy from some others, but we didn’t quite have the pace at the end to maximize that, and we needed a yellow that didn’t come.

“Ultimately, we were going to land somewhere between fifth and seventh, and it was seventh. We’ll take it and move to Mosport.”

Patrick Gallagher, Driver of the No. 96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO

“It was certainly a good start for the Turner Motorsport BMW M4 and a strong seventh place finish for our partners at LIQUI MOLY, H&R Springs, Belle Haven Investments, and Hilliard. It was a good first stint – got to the lead on the start. I think everyone was saving just because of the traffic, so I wasn’t quite sure how that would hold up through the race.

“I don’t know if we truly had the speed to win, but it seemed to be all about energy saving and track position. The team did a great job on pit lane with no mistakes. We kept it clean all day with all the attrition, so overall, it was an okay day. We didn’t lose too much in the championship fight, and we’re still in the hunt in the top three and separated ourselves from fourth, fifth, and sixth.”
