- The Grand Prix of Long Beach is the first sprint race of the IMSA season for full-time drivers Robby Foley and Patrick Gallagher.
- This is the only street course that Turner will race, as the GTD class does not race at Detroit.
- This is the shortest race of the season at just 100 minutes, compared to the standard 2-hour and 40-minute sprint race.
