Turner Motorsport Begins 26th Season Racing for BMW at 2024 Rolex 24 At Daytona

Newton, NH (Dec. 6, 2023) – The January 27 – 28, 2024 Rolex 24 At Daytona will begin Turner Motorsport’s 26th season of racing for BMW and, by mid-season, see the team set the record for all-time BMW starts.

Will Turner said, “The 2024 season will see a renewed emphasis on the IMSA GTD championship with a focus on one BMW M4 GT3. Whether two, three or four drivers behind the wheel of the No. 96 machine we are looking to be even more competitive than we were last year. I am extremely proud that by the end of the 2024 season Turner Motorsport will have run the most races in the world for BMW. We have built a very strong program in the last 25 years, and we all look forward to the next 25.”

Commenting on the addition of Walker, Turner added, “I’ve had my eye on Jake for about a year now. At the Indy SRO race he got into a BMW M4 GT3 for the first time and was immediately competitive. We need this 17-year-old in our car. He’s got a bright future.”

The driver lineup for the No. 96 Belle Haven Investments / Turner Motorsport / LIQUI MOLY BMW M4 GT3 at Daytona will be made up of very familiar faces to Turner and BMW fans. BMW driver Robby Foley and Patrick Gallagher return for the full season. Last season saw the duo score three runner-up finishes (VIR, and Sebring and Petit Le Mans) to finish fourth in the GT Daytona class driver points. This season the team will welcome Jake Walker to the team. Walker will co-drive in the Michelin Endurance Cup races at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Indianapolis, and Petit Le Mans. Longtime BMW driver Jens Klingmann will be back to support the No. 96 BMW at Daytona. A full season Turner driver in 2016 and 2017, Klingmann has focused on races in European series, but has continued to support the Turner team at Daytona since 2018.

When the checkered flag flew at Petit Le Mans in October the team’s BMW race count reached 535, second only to the legendary Schnitzer Motorsport. With the 2024 season as planned Turner’s count will reach 590 – and possibly 600 – to be the team with more races for BMW than any other team in the world.

The 2024 Sponsors will also be familiar to Turner and BMW fans with partners LIQUI MOLY, Belle Haven Investments, H&R Springs, and of course the Turner Motorsport Parts Company returning. Associate sponsors include Barletta, Hilliard, Pagid, and Sparco.

The 2024 WeatherTech Championship season opens with the 62nd running of the Rolex 24 on Jan. 27-28. The unofficial kickoff for the season comes Jan. 19-21 with the Roar Before the Rolex 24, three days of testing on Daytona International Speedway’s 3.56-mile road course.
