TURNER MOTORSPORT PODIUMS IN CANADA

BOWMANVILLE, ONTARIO (July 12, 2026) – Turner Motorsport’s Robby Foley and Patrick Gallagher finished in third at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park to earn the team’s second podium finish of the season in GTD.

The No. 96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO started from sixth in the 13-car GTD field in the third sprint race of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. Gallagher kept the Turner BMW out of trouble as others brought out a pair of cautions. The pit crew executed a quick stop to put Foley in fifth place on the restart. Team strategist Don Salama called Foley to pit lane for the final stop ahead of the field, allowing the team to leapfrog into third. Foley managed energy while maintaining strong pace to secure the podium finish.

In Michelin Pilot Challenge, Foley and Vin Barletta earned a top-10 finish. Barletta started the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park 120 from 22nd in class and kept the No. 96 BMW M4 GT4 EVO clean as cautions fell and TCR traffic began to mix in with the GS field. The team elected for two right-side tires in the first pit stop, saving valuable time on pit lane to gain nine positions as Foley took over. The final stop required only left-side tires, and the Turner crew executed perfectly on pit lane to give Foley the push to the finish from 17th. Foley charged forward with pace, making the pass for a top-10 finish on the final lap.

The No. 95 of Dillon Machavern and Luca Mars suffered another dose of bad luck. On the opening lap, Machavern was hit hard, sending the car behind the wall for broken suspension. The Turner crew worked quickly to return the car to the race, but Mars ultimately had to settle for a 23rd-place result.

The IMSA season continues July 31-August 2 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

Robby Foley, Driver of the No. 96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO

“We had a great day here at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. We executed a perfect race, which feels really good. We’ve had some decent races, but this one went basically as good as it could have gone. We did a nice strategy undercutting some cars, saving a lot of energy, and we had a great car today. We definitely improved over Watkins Glen in these high-speed corners. Hopefully we can take what we learned to Road America in a few weeks.”
